JetBlue (NASDAQ:JBLU) today announced it will offer its successful Mint premium service to Grenada starting in January 2017. JetBlue is a top airline in the Caribbean and Grenada will become the fifth Mint market in the region. Mint flights are on sale starting today and will operate seasonally on Saturdays between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Grenada’s Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) through April 2017.
“We are thrilled to introduce Mint to a fifth Caribbean route, where customers are paying too much for so-called premium service,” said Dave Clark, vice president network planning at JetBlue. “Our customers are quickly discovering Grenada and its world class beaches, attractions, and luxury resorts. Now customers traveling between New York and this Caribbean gem can enjoy the finest service and comfort during their flight.”
Mint launched in 2014 on transcontinental flights between busy east and west coast cities where it quickly won over travelers, outperformed financial expectations and stimulated a new market for premium travel. With the introduction of Mint to the Caribbean last year, JetBlue quickly realized that leisure customers visiting some of the top destinations in the region were also craving a higher level of service.
Travelers to Grenada – like those bound for Barbados, Aruba, St. Maarten and St. Lucia – will enjoy the longest fully-flat bed in the U.S. domestic premium market (a), including four private suites, and a 15-inch flat screen with complimentary entertainment options. Customers also enjoy a signature cocktail, a tapas-style menu, fresh espresso from the first purpose-built cappuccino machine for aU.S. airline, amenity kits by Birchbox, and dessert from Blue Marble and Mah-ze-Dahr Bakery.

Restyled JetBlue Experience on Airbus A321 With Mint
All customers will benefit from JetBlue’s Airbus A321 with Mint aircraft, which features the airline’s new core experience for customers seated throughout the entire aircraft.
Features of the A321 core interior include 10-inch television screens offering free entertainment, comfortable seats with the most legroom in coach (b) and power outlets accessible to all customers. JetBlue’s popular marketplace, a self-serve station full of free snacks, sodas and water for customers to enjoy at their convenience, is also available throughout the flight. And all A321 aircraft offer JetBlue’s free Fly-Fi high-speed broadband Internet service when flying over the continental U.S., access to JetBlue’s Hub content on personal devices and first-run Hollywood movies.
In addition to seasonal Saturday Mint flights, JetBlue will continue to offer roundtrip service on its Airbus A320 aircraft on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
