JetBlue Offers Wicked Blue Barrel Fares on Flights Between Boston and the Lone Star State

Jetblue-planeJetBlue Airways today announces special Blue Barrel fares for nonstop travel between Boston and destinations in the Lone Star state including Austin (AUS), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Houston (HOU).

 

Customers can save big on direct flights between Texas and Boston with fares equal to the price of a barrel of crude oil as of the close of the market on July 9, 2014.

Fares including taxes and fees are available starting at $108 roundtrip through July 11 at 11:59 p.m. local time at jetblue.com.

 

These fares are valid for travel between August 4 – November 20, 2014 (a). For two days only the price of a barrel of oil, $108 as of the close of the market on July 9, determined the price of a round-trip fare.

“JetBlue is Boston’s largest carrier and we offer nonstop service to 51 destinations including three in Texas.

 

With our Blue Barrel fares, we are turning the price of oil into a good thing.

 

At $108, flying is the quickest and least expensive way to travel between Boston and the Lone Star state,” said Jeff Martin, senior vice president, operations, JetBlue and longtime Texas resident.

 

“We invite customers to trade their chili for chowder or their Boston baked beans for barbeque and take advantage of this special offer.”

In 2012, Dallas/Fort Worth became JetBlue’s 71st destination and 3rd in the Lone Star state, joining Austin and Houston which were both added to the airline’s network in 2006.

 

Customers can conveniently connect in Boston to/from several destinations including Baltimore, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and more.

 

JetBlue currently offers three daily nonstop flights between Boston and Dallas/Fort Worth and two daily nonstop flights to/from Austin and Houston.
