A JetBlue aircraft carrying 74 passengers onboard was forced to make an emergency landing at Orlando International Airport on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a spokesperson for JetBlue Airways, the plane had to make an unscheduled landing after an emergency evacuation slide partially deployed into the front galley of the plane while in flight. Officials said JetBlue flight 1266, headed from Fort Myers to Boston, was diverted to Orlando to make an emergency landing at 3:45 p.m.
The Embraer E-190 aircraft, carrying 74 passengers and four crew members, landed safely. Airline officials said no one was injured. Passengers were forced to exit the aircraft through a rear exit and have been moved to another aircraft which was expected to depart around 5 p.m. The National Transportation Safety Board said through their Twitter feed that they are gathering information on the incident.
