Jumeirah Beach Hotel hosted the third season of the Dubai auditions for the popular Arab Idol MBC TV talent spotting programme, which will be broadcast on Friday 5 September 2014 on MBC 1.
Hundreds of young contestants travelled to Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai in March 2014 to participate in the third season of the Global Entertainment Format, all with the hope of winning a contract with Platinum Records. This full-service entertainment company is owned by MBC Group and represents talent from all the major TV formats.
Arab Idol was inspired by the popular British TV show Pop Idol and succeeds the pan-Arabic Idol series Super Star. The show premiered for the first time on 9 December 2011 on MBC1 and since then, has grown rapidly in popularity, developing a loyal and substantial following across the Middle East and the UAE. The event was held in the hotel’s beautiful on-site events arena, situated outdoors with fabulous views of the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah.
