KiwiRail has today provided detailed information about the Interislander ferry’s return to service, and the repairs carried out on her while she was in Singapore.
The ferry is expected to arrive back in Wellington on Wednesday.
The vessel is due back in Wellington on Wednesday morning, weather depending.
Once back in Wellington the ferry will undergo an estimated further week of commissioning, including Maritime New Zealand and other safety agency checks, as well as re-consigning and moving equipment, furniture and so on currently in use on the Stena Alegra to the Aratere.
Aratere will return to service once these processes are complete.
