The annual St. Patrick’s Parade in Montauk, L.I. is one of the region’s most popular. And once again, MTA Long Island Rail Road will be running extra trains to the oceanfront village on parade day, Sunday, March 23. Festivities start at 10 AM with the parade set to kick off down Main Street at 11:30.
To ensure that all LIRR customers arrive safely in Montauk and return home safely later that day, no beverages of any kind will be allowed aboard Montauk trains. The MTA Police will strictly enforce this rule by confiscating all beverages, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, opened or unopened, they find on trains.
The LIRR will operate two extra AM eastbound trains and one extra PM westbound train to accommodate customers attending the parade
