Step inside the world’s greatest experiment as the Science Museum in London recreates the inside of the Large Hadron Collider.
Claimed to be the largest scientific experiment ever constructed, the Large Hadron Collider project was buried a long way underground in the CERN laboratory close to the border of France and Switzerland. Thousands of scientists and engineers worked together with the aim of uncovering the secrets of the fundamental building blocks of our universe.
Relive their dazzling efforts in this immersive exhibition that blends theatre, video and sound art with actual artefacts from CERN, allowing visitors to witness the uncovering of the elusive Higgs boson particle.
Meet the engineers who made it possible and stand in the awesome surroundings at the heart of collision, just at the point that signalled a moment of discovery.
The exhibition is open for public till May 6.
