Missing-hiker-Michael-051716-jpg-620x465-300x241Cody Michael and his dog Bauer, who were reported to be missing during a hiking trip to the remote wilderness of California, have been found alive on 20th May’16, because of extraordinary sense of mind. Fifty dedicated search teams were searching 24*7 for them in the remote trails for three days long.

As the air crew was looking for him over his camping site, they found a SOS message in the Cherry Point area, which spelled “HELP.” Cody used duck tapes to write the message on the rock near his campsite. Luckily, volunteers found his messaged and sent a rescue team in that particular area.

Although he is going to get medically examined for any kind of internal and external injury, Cody is doing just fine. His dog, Bauer suffered blistered paws, and right at the moment he is recovering at an animal hospital.

After he and Bauer got rescued, Cody said, “Five hours or so ago, I didn’t think I was going to make it. This is all I wanted, was to see my family again. Every morning I got up and just thought I would figure a way and I didn’t. And he couldn’t really go anymore. That’s when I just set up camp and figured they’re going to come and get me or I’m not going to make it.” He also expressed his gratitude, “All those units that were out there- the countless hours. You saved my life. I can’t thank you enough.”

Placer County Sheriff’s Office stated, “Lost hiker Cody Michael is looking great! He’s going to get medically checked, but he has no injuries! Thank you to our amazing search teams! A helicopter crew located him in the Cherry Point area and hoisted him to safety.”
