Luxperience 2014′s fam Programme Aims to Showcase Cream Of Southern Hemisphere’s Tourism Product

Luxperience-300x157Some of the most aspirational and stand-out tourism experiences in Australia and New Zealand are on offer as part of the 2014 post touring familiarisation programme announced this week by Luxperience, the Sydney-based business exchange for the luxury and experiential travel trade.

Never before has such a diverse and award-winning range of post-touring options been made available to global buyers attending a travel trade show.

With limited places, delegates are asked to sign up for the Luxperience Familiarisation Programme by 4th April to guarantee a place on one of the eleven tours after the show, which runs from 31st August to 3rd September.

Featured in the itineraries is exclusive accommodation in New Zealand and  members of ‘Luxury Lodges of Australia’ illustrating between them the extraordinary diversity of luxury tourism product that can now be found in the region, from highlands and islands to remote bush and desert outback.  Buyers can choose from Kangaroo Island’s Southern Ocean Lodge to Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa in the Blue Mountains, ‘wild bush luxury’ at Bamurru Plains in the Northern Territory, or a classic desert experience at Longitude 131 in the Red Centre.

Asia Pacific’s reputation for outstanding food and wine is without dispute, and how better to reinforce it than with  tours to the Barossa, South Australia’s renowned wine producing region, and Hawkes Bay, Central North Island.  Buyers with a thirst for adventure can choose to head for the Southern Hemisphere’s capital of adrenalin sports, Queenstown and Wanaka.

The sheer quality of tourism product in the itineraries, which have been announced this week, reflects the very essence of what Luxperience has come to represent in the three short years since its inaugural show in 2012.

Michelle Papas, Director of Marketing and Buyer Relations at Luxperience explains why she has placed so much emphasis on securing such an impressive range of fam tours.  She says: “It goes without saying that travel professionals are far more likely to recommend and sell a product that they have personally experienced. This level of personal endorsement and influence becomes even more significant as the price point increases.  It is absolutely crucial that we send our delegate buyers home brimming with passion and enthusiasm for the new products and experiences that they are introducing to market.”

Papas continues:  “We are thrilled to have been able to partner with the cream of Australia and New Zealand’s tourism industry to offer such a stunning fam programme.  This truly sets a benchmark for other shows to aspire to, and speaks volumes about the regard in which Luxperience is now held by the leaders and pioneers who are shaping our luxury tourism industry.”
