In an episode to air December 22, 2013, the stars of Bravo’s popular reality show “Real Housewives of Atlanta” escape for a week-long girlfriend getaway in Luxury Living Savannah’s flagship, 8 bedroom, 8.5 bath luxury vacation rental, Wedding Cake Mansion. The award-winning vacation home, which has undergone a $3 million renovation, is the crown jewel of Savannah’s beautiful Monterey Square, made famous by the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
“Real Housewives of Atlanta,” which gives an inside look at the lives of six members of Atlanta’s social elite, is the highest rated installment of the “Real Housewives” franchise and the most-watched series on the Bravo network. A camera crew follows the everyday activities of Linnethia “NeNe” Leakes, an actress with a recurring role on Fox TV’s “Glee” and stars in NBC’s “The New Normal” and Bravo’s “I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding”; Kandi Burruss, Grammy award-winning member of the Platinum-selling musical group Xscape who has a weekly webisode show, Kandi Koated Nights, and Bravo series “The Kandi Factory”; Phaedra Parks, an entertainment attorney and author of Secrets of the Southern Belle: How to Be Nice, Work Hard, Look Pretty, Have Fun, and Never Have an Off Moment; actress, model and beauty pageant advisor Cynthia Bailey; Kenya Moore, 1993’s Miss USA and a top-six finisher in the Miss Universe pageant; and Porsha Williams, a singer, actress, model and ex-wife of longtime Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kordell Stewart.
Tammy Jo Long, Founder & President of Luxury Living Savannah, appears in December 22nd episode welcoming the “housewives” to the mansion her company restored to its original grandeur for travelers to enjoy. She said after the women’s initial, awe-filled “wow” moments, they excitedly began claiming the bedrooms they wanted during their stay.

The Wedding Cake Mansion is named for its elaborate white bay window with ornate stained glass and white ornamental ironwork. The architecture of this award-winning, 1869 2nd Empire Baroque mansion, which has earned historical certification for its period-appropriate improvements, is very unique to Savannah with only a few examples in the Historic District. The French influence is carried throughout the house with its antiques, art and decor. The marble master bath has a custom stained glass window over the 6-foot air bath, an oversized, two-person shower and a wall of mirrors to make this the lavish escape only experienced in multi-million-dollar estates. The remaining bathrooms have such adornments as Italian mosaics, antique vanities, and hand painted murals.
