KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A United Airlines flight from Chicago was heding to Knoxville when it was forced to make an emergency landing Thursday night in Lexington, Kentucky.
The plane was diverted to Lexington, Ky. when officials said the United Express flight took off from Chicago and was on it’s way to Knoxville, but some maintenance issue cropped up while in air. The cr ew followed safety protocol and declared an emergency.
The plane where it landed safely and all the passengers were re-accommodated.
United said it was investigating the incident
