Published on : Thursday, February 14, 2013

Marriott International, the first hotel company introduced a comprehensive travel agent education program, announced the launch of updated content to its award-winning Hotel Excellence! (HE!) training program. Now in its 08th year, HE! has been updated to include Marriott’s newest brands, AC Hotels, Autograph Collection, EDITION and Gaylord Hotels, and new brand categories, making it easier to distinguish Marriott’s portfolio of 15 brands covered. HE! is offered in ten languages, now including Russian. To kick-off the launch of the updated training, Marriott is giving away “BIG” Marriott experiences. From now through June 08, agents who take HE! training for the first time and existing graduates who re-take the updated HE! module: The Marriott Family of Brands, will be entered to win prizes twice a month and one of three “BIG” grand prizes. For more information visit GrowWithMarriott.com. “This updated training will give agents a competitive edge when planning for their clients,” said Cynthia Perry, Global Director, Travel Industry Sales. “Marriott is growing, and we want travel agents to grow with us. We are committed to maximizing travel agents’ success in selling hotels to their clients, including the next generation of travelers.” Hotel Excellence! Launched in 1999 as the first of its kind in the industry. The self-paced, online training covers both generic hotel sales information and the benefits of the programs and services Marriott offers. Marriott has certified more than 195,000 graduates in over 100 countries around the world as Hotel Sales Specialists. Qualified travel agents who successfully complete HE! receive exclusive access to Fam-Tastic® rates beginning as low as $44USD at more than 3,400 Marriott International hotels worldwide, invitations to key industry events and twice monthly Reserved for You eNewsletters. Agents who complete HE! will also receive ten Continuing Education Units for maintenance of The Travel Institute’s CTA/CTC certification, the highest level awarded by the Travel Institute.
