Marriott recognized for leadership amidst diversity!

Marriott’s longstanding reputation for embracing differences was highlighted again this week as LATINA Style Magazine and the New York Chapter of the National Urban League honored the company for its diversity and inclusion efforts.

The New York Chapter of the National Urban League saluted Marriott during its Champion of Diversity Awards for its corporate leadership, employment policy, supplier relations and corporate giving.  Marriott was the only lodging company honored this year. Marriott was ranked fifth on the 2012 LATINA Style 50 list for career opportunities, and is the only lodging company to make the list’s top ten. The company was recognized for its number of Latina executives, Latina retention, mentoring programs, educational opportunities, alternative work policies, employee benefits, women’s issues, job retraining, affinity groups, and Hispanic relations.
