national-restaurant-association-300x125 (1)The Massachusetts Restaurant Association (MRA) is excited to announce a new partnership with the National Restaurant Association (NRA) for the New England Food Show (NEFS) starting in 2016. With this new partnership,

the NEFS—the largest, most successful trade show of its kind in the Northeast—will evolve to further benefit the region’s dynamic food and beverage industry, promising to attract a larger audience than ever. The 2015 show, taking place March 15-17 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, will conclude the MRA’s successful 12-year partnership with Diversified Communications.

After reviewing possible options, the MRA’s leadership determined that a partnership with the National Restaurant Association would not only maintain the New England Food Show’s long-standing reputation for excellence, but also maximize the show’s potential for growth, visibility, and value. The NRA owns and operates the National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show® (NRA Show®), the largest annual gathering of the foodservice industry in the world, drawing tens of thousands of hospitality professionals from around the world to Chicago each year. While the NRA has explored involvement in regional events before, the partnership with the MRA is a first for the organization, a decision that reflects the NEFS’s tradition of success and future potential.

“We look forward to working with Diversified to produce a stellar event for 2015. The team has played important role in helping the NEFS thrive over the past 12 years,” said MRA President and CEO Bob Luz. “Looking ahead to 2016 and beyond, the MRA is committed to the continued success of the NEFS, and we are delighted to be able to bring the National Restaurant Association’s resources and expertise to an already important event, making it more valuable for our industry’s owners and operators than ever.”

The NRA’s Convention Team, led by Mary Pat Heftman, Executive Vice President, Convention and Strategic Alliances, has an extensive track record of trade show innovation and growth and the capabilities to ensure a seamless transition in 2016 and success for years to come. “We are thrilled to partner with the Massachusetts Restaurant Association on the New England Food Show. This is an important region in the restaurant and hospitality industry and we look forward to applying our foodservice convention experience and expertise to its premier event,” said Heftman.
