Mauritius will hold several rich and colorful activities related to the tourism industry for the end of November and the month of December. Indeed Mauritius is hosting the International Kreol Festival and various major Golf Competitions such as Afrasia Golf Masters, MCB Tour Championship, Standard Bank Mauritius Open, Mauritius SUP Challenge and Omnicane Southern Challenge.
Mauritius will be under the spotlight with the International Kreol Festival which is in its full swing. About 150 foreign journalists would be visiting the island, from the major tourists markets namely France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Swiss, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark and the UK. Other press groups including those from Australia, Japan, America, Russia, Indian, China, Korea, South Africa and those of Turkey are expected for this outstanding event.
Several documentaries will be done, including the Turkish TV, ÇAGATAY YOLDA who will be broadcasting a one hour special documentary film on Mauritius highlighting the Mauritian Culture and its Gastronomy. It will be exclusively broadcasted in all aircrafts of the Turkish Airlines. The reporters from Reunion Island, Germany and Switzerland, among others, will devote much of their coverage on the discovery of the Mauritian products laying emphasis on water sports and indoor activities.
The visit of these journalists will also be an opportunity for the stakeholders of the tourism industry to showcase their products. A well-defined program has been established by the MTPA to initiate journalists to the Kreol culture and to discover the authenticity of its product. This initiative by the MTPA aims to increase Mauritius presence and visibility for different target markets.
The 2013 edition of the International Kreol Festival will be marked by conferences, special evenings and competitions while concluding with the traditional big concert at Domaine les Pailles on the 30th November.
Moreover, Mauritius will play host for major Golf Competitions during the month of December, welcoming both Golf professionals and amateurs. These competitions will also see the participation of several high-level golfers and international journalists.
