Meeting-design-Hotels-300x168Re-imagining the traditional meeting space to meet a growing demand for more inspiring and creative work environments, one of the prominent 5-star hotels in Copenhagen, the Copenhagen Marriott Hotel, is now re-thinking everything from boardrooms, breakout and pre-function spaces, taking a full approach to meetings and seamlessly integrating service, technology and contemporary design.

Responding to research that indicates people are now working differently than in previous generations, the Copenhagen Marriott Hotel is trending away from individual work spaces and shifting its designs to an ecosystem of places that gives workers choice and control over where and how to work.

– The way people work is changing but the way meetings are hosted at hotels, has not kept pace, says Gitte Nodskov, Director of Sales & Marketing, of the business hotel in Copenhagen. Inspired by the way Generation Y meets and works, we are introducing spaces that promote collaborative work environments for more productive outcomes, Nodskov continues.

The Copenhagen Marriott Hotel’s new meeting area will feature flexible work spaces that enhance the objectives of the meeting and its participants rather than being dictated by room lay-out or furniture. From networking events to business meetings, technology and design will blend to smoothly accommodate the manner and purpose of each gathering.

The spaces will feature wireless technology and include amenities such as video conferencing, smart whiteboards, projection walls, docking stations and touch screen controls. All technology will be app or web enabled, providing a platform for future technological innovation. And, in addition to these creative, high-tech spaces, the Copenhagen venue also features full-service catering with inspiring event menus that can be customized for any occasion.

Re-imagined meeting spaces are just one of a palette of concepts being introduced at the Copenhagen Marriott Hotel. Red Coat Direct, an app enabling meeting organisers to adjust and edit their meeting requests and preferences with the touch of a button, was introduced earlier this year.
