Philippines-300x224The Department of Tourism Philippines recently organized PHILINDEX – Philippine India Exchange, 2014 in Manila from 22-28 September.

PHILINDEX is a B2B event where Indian buyers and sellers from Philippines came together for a focused exchange of business.

The buyers met the suppliers and local tour operators on a one-on-one basis ensuring good interaction, relevant information on the destination and signing of deals.

The Philippines Tourism Marketing Office India received positive responses from the agents who are back in India after an enjoyable and informative trip. The trade partners had wonderful things to say about their trip.

Mr. Sandiip Srivastav from Youdian Business Solutions thanked Philippines Tourism Marketing Office and said, “In my opinion, Philippines has the potential to give destinations like Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand a run for their money. The country has little bit of everything for everyone, and the quality is excellent.”

Mr. Mayank Maheshwari from Rainbow Vacations said, “Being part of Philindex gave us a chance to meet the ground handlers, tour operators, hoteliers etc and get detailed information about the destination. As a destination Philippines has to offer a lot to the Indian traveller. After visiting Philippines, we as a holiday planner and tour consultant have a new destination to offer in our bouquet.”

Mr. J.T. Ramnani from Vensimal World Travel Agents said, “It was a unique experience well organised by Philippines Tourism. Our group was given an opportunity to visit the most beautiful Boracay Islands to have onsite knowledge of the island along with visits to attractions, hotels and Indian restaurants and water activities.

Department of Tourism Philippines hosted business-to-business meetings, press briefings, visit to Pagsanjan Falls and post tours. The agents were divided into three groups who were taken to explore the beautiful islands of Cebu, Boracay and Davao.
