mcbChief Executive Officer of the Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB), Karen Bolinger, launched the 2013-14 edition of the Melbourne Planners’ Guide, a comprehensive manual for planning a business event in Melbourne and regional Victoria.
The Melbourne Planners’ Guide 2013-14 offers planners a directory of the state’s premier business events products and services located, including venues, accommodation, conference and event organisers, and pre and post touring options.
Ms Bolinger said that the 2013/14 edition of the Guide features many new and improved local products sure to appeal to event planners from around the world.
“There have been many exciting redevelopments in the last year including new venue The Park, which has reopened a versatile and contemporary events space to accommodate over 1000 people overlooking one of Melbourne’s most picturesque assets, Albert Park Lake,” Ms Bolinger said.
“Accor has also launched its apartment brand, Sebel, in Docklands waterfront precinct, with seven levels of water views across Victoria Harbour.”
The Guide is available in hard copy and searchable PDF format on MCB’s website, melbournecb.com.au/plannersguide. Following the launch of MCB’s new website in February 2014, the Guide will be available as an interactive online hub.
“Planners will be able to open the Guide from their computer, smartphone or tablet, effectively having MCB’s event planning knowledge at their fingertips,” Ms Bolinger said.
“From finding the perfect venue, right through to pre and post-touring options in Melbourne and regional Victoria, the Melbourne Planners’ Guide 2013/14 and MCB’s expert staff have all your bases covered for a successful and memorable business event.
“With state-of-the-art facilities and services, many of which are detailed in our Guide, it is not hard to see why Melbourne was recently acknowledged as Australasia’s Leading Meetings & Conference Destination in the 2013 World Travel Awards.”
