Melia Hacienda del Conde – Tenerife’s Idyllic Adults-Only Retreat With Nr 1 Golf Course

Published on : Saturday, October 22, 2016

MeliaHaciendaDelConde-18oct16-141x300Situated along the cliffs of Teno in the North West of Tenerife, luxury resort, Meliá Hacienda del Conde is framed by Buenavista, an 18-hole golf course, designed by legendary Spanish golfer, Seve Ballesteros.

The idyllic adults-only retreat, surrounded by a protected nature reserve, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is the ideal rural romantic getaway that boasts warm climates all year round.

Couples can enjoy quality time together over a game of golf, spa treatments, sunset dinners, a romantic coastal walk, or a cultural excursion to a nearby village to taste local wines and cheeses.

Designed to replicate a luxury hacienda, Meliá Hacienda del Conde’s traditional Canary Islands colonial decor has been recently refreshed. The resort’s 77 spacious and elegant rooms and 40 premium Level category suites have an authentic design with local terracota tiles, dark wood and chocolate accents offset against neutral tones. All rooms boast stunning rural vistas from the golf course to gardens and the Ocean.

Buenavista
The highly-regarded 18-hole Buenavista golf course, opened in 2003, was recently ranked by Golf World as the leading fairway in Tenerife and is the only links course on the island. Golfers play between the striking Teno cliffs and rocky Atlantic coast, meaning the course will play differently day to day due to the winds off the ocean. The par-72 course features a host of enticing elevated tee shots to wide fairways and true greens with clever undulations and hazard placements.

Course improvements have raised Buenavista’s standard even higher, making it one of the most attractive destinations in the Canary Islands. Upgraded fairways and landscaping have improved 12 bunkers, the driving range and practice facilities including two putting greens and a chipping area. A Club House offers golf club hire, refreshments and essential sportswear. Buenavista is an iconic course that suits all skill levels.

Relaxation at Meliá Hacienda del Conde
After a round of golf, guests can relax in a large lagoon or infinity pool with tiered sun terraces overlooking the ocean, as well as taking a dip in a salt water pool on the edge of the Atlantic located just off hole 16.

The magnificent YHI Spa boasts a range of hydrotherapy facilities from a heated dynamic pool to Turkish bath, ice and bi-thermal showers, hydro massage and sauna. Eight treatment cabins are also available for guests to indulge in a variety of massages and rituals that use exclusive Pevonia products.

The resort also offers guests a private service, The Level, which provides a VIP experience, including superior rooms, dedicated lounge areas, a private breakfast room, priority check-in and check-out, Loewe premium-brand bathroom amenities, as well as additional on resort privileges.

Meliá Hacienda del Conde’s stylish à la carte restaurant, Salazar, combines local tradition with more international flavours, whilst the Buffet Market serves an extensive range of cuisines. Guests can also unwind during the day at The Pool Bar sampling light snacks and in the evening watch the sun go down on IKKO Bar’s terrace with fire pit.

The luxury resort caters for events and meetings, with six spacious, naturally lit rooms equipped with the latest technology, hosting up to 110 delegates, plus a covered balcony for breakout sessions with views of the Atlantic.
