MTA Service Advisory: Work to Restore Regular L Line Service to Continue into the Evening

MTA-Rail-ImageRepairs being made to damaged signal equipment between Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av & Broadway Junction will impact service on the L Subway Line Icon Line into the evening on Friday. The following service changes will remain in effect:

There will be no L Subway Line Icon trains between Broadway Junction and Myrtle Av- Wyckoff Av in both directions. Shuttle buses will continue to operate making corresponding stops between Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av and Broadway Junction.

There will be limited L Subway Line Icon train service running between Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy and Broadway Junction.

There will also be reduced L Subway Line Icon service between Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av and 8 Av in Manhattan.

Customers from Manhattan headed beyond Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av station should avoid taking the L Subway Line Icon from Manhattan to Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av. Instead, customers should take the A Subway Line IconC Subway Line Icon or J Subway Line IconZ Subway Line Icon to Broadway Junction for the bus to closed stations between Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av & Broadway Junction or the L Subway Line Icon train to Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy. Customers can also take the M Subway Line Icon to Myrtle Av-Wyckoff Av.

Manhattan-bound customers from Canarsie can transfer at Broadway Junction for A Subway Line IconC Subway Line Icon or J Subway Line Icon trains for further service into Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Crews are on site working to restore normal service as quickly as possible. Workers could not get to the source of the problem until sunlight and dense fog had cleared earlier this morning.
