New technology agreement between Sabre and Travel Group in Colombia

sabreSabre Corporation, a global technology provider to the travel and tourism industry, and Travel Group, a consortia of agencies operating in cities across Colombia, announced a new technology agreement to power a growing number of offices serving corporate and leisure travelers.

The long standing partnership has continued to grow from the original agreement in 2003, when nine agencies began collaborating with Sabre to substantially increase efficiency and productivity for travel consultants. Sabre is expanding its consulting and technology support to an additional 12 agencies, and will continue providing software solutions which Travel Group will use to create a technology-driven service model shared by 21 agencies across Colombia. By implementing Sabre’s innovative shopping capabilities, mobile services and the Sabre travel marketplace, agencies subscribing to Sabre will deliver a seamless experience for travelers.

With the expanded technology partnership, Travel Group consortia will leverage Sabre’s capabilities, including low fare search technology and personalized shopping features available through the Sabre travel marketplace. The agencies will also get trained in the Sabre Red solutions portfolio, and the two companies will work together to establish a robust and world-class workflow for agents in all 21 office locations.
 

The new agencies that will migrate their business process and service model to Sabre include Viajes Selectos, Hemisferio Tour, RYC Euroamerican Travel, Viajes Villa de Leyva, Hoturis, Mundial de Viajes, Novatour, Pasaporte al Mundo, Regata, Viajes Armenia, Viajes L&M, and Viaturla.
