Delta One and SkyMiles Elite customers are in for an enhanced experience when flying out of Sao Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport. The airline’s Brazilian alliance partner GOL recently opened its new VIP lounge in Terminal 2, providing more convenience and comfort to customers flying with GOL, Delta and Air France/KLM.
“The VIP lounge was designed for customers to enjoy a warm, modern environment with a wide range of high-quality products and services to offer customers from GOL and our alliance partners with the most exclusive airport experience,” said Paulo Miranda, GOL’s Director – Products and Customer Experience.
The lounge’s décor was inspired by Brazilian culture and has a modern, refined appearance. The room’s sound reduction panels, directed lighting and leather chairs create a warm and intimate environment for travelers looking to be productive or simply relax before wheels-up. It also features more private areas which serve as workspaces. GOL’s new lounge replaces the airport’s previous VIP area, which was also in Terminal 2.
Access to the lounge is complimentary for customers flying in Delta One, GOL Premium or First/Business class on Air France/KLM. Diamond, Platinum and Gold Medallion SkyMiles members and Smiles Diamond and Smiles Gold members also have access the lounge.
GOL expects to launch three VIP areas by early 2017, including an additional space in Guarulhos and two lounges in Rio de Janeiro.
Delta and GOL are co-located at Terminal 2 of Guarulhos International Airport. For the airlines’ customers, this co-location offers seamless connectivity and an easier baggage re-checking process after clearing customs, as GOL’s counters are located immediately outside the secured customs area.
Delta connects Sao Paulo with four major destinations in the U.S. with nonstop flights to Atlanta, New York-JFK, Orlando and Detroit.
