Norwegian to introduce low-cost Edinburgh to Barcelona route

Norwegian-Air-InternationalNorwegian’s low-cost flights from Edinburgh to the city of Barcelona will be available on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with company offering free on-board Wi-Fi connection and 186 passenger seats per each flight.

 

With Barcelona as the most popular destination in Spain, tourists from UK can now enjoy the best of Mediterranean cuisine, traditions and cultural heritage. Moreover, holidaymakers can discover the city’s Modernista sites, as well as its amazing coastal villages and renowned vineyards.
Thomas Ramdahl, chief commercial officer at Norwegian commented: “We have major expansions plans at Edinburgh as our affordable flights are continuing to be a huge draw for Scottish passengers. Last year was our busiest ever at the airport with over 200,000 passengers flying with us and now holidaymakers can combine city, sun and sand with Norwegian’s new affordable flights to Barcelona.”
In addition to destinations such as Malaga, Tenerife, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo, the Catalan capital accounts as the airliner’s sixth route departing from Edinburgh Airport, as Norwegian is also set to launch new transatlantic flights from the same hub, operated by a Boeing 737 MAX ultimate aircraft.
More than one million passengers chose flying with Norwegian since the airline began operations on the Edinburgh Airport in 2009.
