‘Ohana by Hawaiian, Hawai’i’s newest interisland operation, today launched its inaugural flight to Lana’i, the second of two islands it has returned to the Hawaiian Airlines network. The Lana’i service will operate twice daily using a 48-seat ATR-42 aircraft. Last week,
‘Ohana by Hawaiian also launched thrice-daily service between Honolulu and Moloka’i.
The departure of Flight HA612 to Lana’i Airport was preceded by remarks from Hawaiian Airlines Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Peter Ingram, followed by a traditional Hawaiian blessing at the gate.
“We are very excited to once again have all of our islands connected through Hawaiian Airlines and our new ‘Ohana by Hawaiian turbo prop service,” said Ingram. “The island of Lana’i is tranquil and enticing, and we invite everyone to fly on ‘Ohana by Hawaiian and explore all of the island’s offerings.”
The daily flights, operated by Empire Airlines, are scheduled below:
