Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh offers a new opportunity to satisfy cravings for delicious and divine pastries with a heavenly selection prepared by Lebanese Chef Ramzi Al-Aridi.Chef Ramzii’s love for pastries started early in life, as it often does for esteemed chefs. He says: “When I was a child I spent my free time with my mother in the kitchen doing pastries and trying out new desserts.
I always looked forward to that one day of the week where my mother would allow me some time with her at the kitchen to help her. My mother’s teachings and effort instigated my techniques and dedication, and shaped me into the chef I am today.”
Chef Ramzi’s passion took a serious turn when he opened his own pastry shop in Lebanon. “I grew up with the goal of opening my own pastry shop; to reach that goal I had to finish my studies first in order to be fully committed to my shop.”
After almost 11 years of running his own pastry shop, Chef Ramzi decided to switch things up and move to work in the hospitality industry. “I had gained sufficient experience that enriched my knowledge in pastries, and then I felt like it was the right time to begin a new chapter in my life,” says the chef. To begin his new journey Chef Ramzi started working at the renowned Hotel Phenicia Intercontinental Lebanon, starting as junior chef and then being promoted to Oriental pastry chef. After 13 years of working at the Intercontinental, Chef Ramzi joined the Four Seasons family as an Oriental Pastry Chef.
Chef Ramzi is known for his Oriental pastries, and no one beats him at his most famous dish, cheese konafa. Guests wishing to have a taste of these delights can stop by at the pastry corner found at Elements restaurant, which is located on the Hotel’s ground floor.
