Hot air balloon rides in Melbourne’s Port Phillip Bay proved to be quite dramatic for nine people who were forced to make dramatic jumps on boats supplied by the Melbourne’s Port Phillip Bay.
The balloon ran out of fuel and strong winds pushed the balloon off course. Boats placed just under the basket of the balloon helped three passengers to alight from the balloon which helped lighten the weight of the balloon.
The balloon lost altitude again and more passengers were evacuated in the same manner as the balloon returned to safer distance above water.
All passengers were rescued safely from the balloon. Another balloon landed in the nearby suburb of Aspendale in a private garden.
