Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa has launched a new ‘Peak Performance’ stay for fitness enthusiasts offering a chance to discover the rugged northwest coast of the island, away from the beaten tourist trail.
After a leisurely breakfast on the terrace of Cap Roig restaurant, which offers breathtaking views of the region, guests can embrace the great outdoors and the dramatic backdrop of the Tramuntana Mountains – a UNESCO Heritage Site – with a choice of guided sports from cycling, trekking, mountain running, Nordic walking and Stand up Paddle (SUP).
The ‘Peak Performance’ package has been designed by triathletes and enables guests to focus on fitness in the expert hands of the hotel’s personal trainers while experiencing a new standard of luxury in Mallorca.
Complimentary treatments for two guests are included each day at the award-winning Talise Spa. Guests can choose from reflexology, Shiatsu, Thai or Lymphatic massage. In addition, all-day access to the spa’s thermal facilities including an aromatic steam room, outdoor heated hydropool, hamman and sauna will help relax tired muscles.
Guests can also relish healthy food, tailored to specific nutritional needs. Special dietary options will address any concerns with a choice of low sodium, high protein, detox or Mediterranean menus. These can be enjoyed al fresco for either lunch or dinner, in either of the hotel’s two restaurants overlooking the sea.
There is also plenty to keep fitness fanatics’ other halves relaxed. The hotel is built on a cliff overlooking the fishing village of Port Soller, a small and tranquil place famous for its horseshoe bay, charming port and picturesque setting. It occupies one of the most idyllic sites on the island, being in the heart of the Soller valley, renowned for its orange, lemon, and olive orchards, and magnificent Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range.
The ‘Peak Performance’ package is available from 1 March 2014 in a Superior, Deluxe or Junior Suite Mountain View from €738 per night. This includes a room for two, breakfast at Cap Roig restaurant, lunch or dinner for two, one sporting activity per day with guide for one person and spa treatments per day for two people.
