Perth Airport has joined an elite group of winners at the global 2016 Skytrax World Airport Awards, receiving the Australia/Pacific Best Airport Staff Service prize.
The awards, presented in Cologne, Germany, are based on the world’s largest airport customer satisfaction survey.
Millions of customers from more than 100 countries evaluate the service levels at more than 550 airports around the world, providing a global benchmark of airport excellence.
Perth was also included in the world’s top 100 airports list, moving up two spots from last year to reach number 73. It achieved eighth place in the Australia/Pacific best airport list.
“I would like to acknowledge all front-line staff including our airline partners and their ground handlers, government agencies, retail and hospitality, security and cleaning, airport operations and, of course, our Gold Coat Ambassadors who all played a vital role in securing this award,” he said.
“While we have invested significantly in transforming our terminal facilities over the last four years to ensure we deliver a world-class airport experience, this award pays tribute to the airport community who strive to provide the best service possible each and every day.”
