An 80-year-old female passenger was reported to be dead after a single-engine plane crashed in a Costco parking lot in San Diego.
There were two passengers in the plane including – the pilot and the deceased passenger.
Their identities are yet to be revealed.
Lee Swanson, spokesman for the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said, “The pilot did a great job of bringing it down away from buildings and cars.”
The pilot was admitted to the hospital with serious injuries.
Fortunately, no civilians were injured in the incident and tourists were escorted from the spot safely by the authorities.
Social media was filled with pictures of the crash because of the unusual spot it was located. It is unclear what caused the crash.
