Pot Tourism Faces Legal Curbs in Colorado

Pot-TourismEven if buying marijuana is now legal in Colorado, there are still significant legal barriers in public consumption of it. This means it is unlawful to use marijuana in amusement, sporting or music venues, at parks, playgrounds, walkways, and rooftop cafes etc.

Since most of the hotels are not openly taking up marijuana, a tourist might have to find a pot-friendly lodging on Airbnb or other websites that connect travelers to private rented homes. However, a few businesses are knocking the market.

To locate a cannabis-friendly inn, one can go about 20 miles west from Denver and drive past jagged cliffs into the town of Morrison. A number of companies in Denver are offering pot-infused private tours, carrying travelers from store to store in a private vehicle and allowing them smoke en route.
