A Qantas plane with 253 passengers made an emergency landing in Adelaide after a smoke warning.
According to Qantas, the Airbus A330 aircraft was scheduled to fly from Sydney to Perth and was diverted to Adelaide.
The plane landed without any incident and no injuries were reported.
In a latest statement from Qantas, the flight deck received a warning light indicating a technical issue. As a safety precaution, the pilots diverted the aircraft to Adelaide. The aircraft is under investigation.
Emergency service crews in Adelaide were put on standby but were not required. According to a passenger on the plane said the incident was handled well by the crew.
In a statement from the pilot, he said that the alarm went ringing out of a technical snag and there was no reason to fear.
Although the crew handled the situation very well and the plane landed without any panic among the passengers.
