viarail-300x157VIA Rail wishes to advise customers that all services will gradually return to normal on the Toronto – Montréal and Toronto – Ottawa routes.

Earlier today a railroad blockade in the area of Marysville, Ontario, caused four trains to stop in Belleville or Kingston, and precluded three other trains to operate.

A few thousand passengers were affected as a result. Some delays are to be expected for passengers travelling today.

As of now, VIA Rail does not anticipate any significant delays to its operations tomorrow as a result of today’s events.
