Five Regal hotels in Hong Kong have been awarded the prestigious Silver Certification by EarthCheck, the world’s most credible environmental benchmarking and certification programme for the travel and tourism industry. The certification recognizes the hotels’ strong environmental performance and their commitment to responsible tourism practices.
This makes Regal Hotels the first hotel group in Hong Kong to achieve Silver Certified status for five properties simultaneously.

We will continue with our high standard of best practices and embrace green initiatives in our daily operations. Our next target is to achieve EarthCheck Gold Certification. Regal hotels have consistently met strict environmental sustainability criteria under the EarthCheck Standards in energy and water consumption, total waste production and community commitment.
Under the green programme themed “We Love Our Planet”, a wide array of environmentally-conscious initiatives was implemented at all Regal hotels in Hong Kong, including guestroom energy conservation programme, use of recycled materials in guestrooms, setup of organic farms in hotels, development of a sustainability webpage, donation of surplus food and promotion of green dining.
