Republic Airways Reports January 2014 Traffic

republic-airwaysRepublic Airways Holdings today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for January 2014.

The Company generated 0.8 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs) in January, an 8% increase over the same period in 2013 on a 1% increase to 1.1 billion available seat miles (ASMs). Block hours were 2% greater, and load factor increased five percentage points from the same period in 2013. Republic Airways carried 1.6 million passengers, a 4% increase compared to January 2013.

January departures were 3% below the same period in 2013. During January, the Company canceled more than 5,500 of its almost 40,000 scheduled departures due to the extreme weather across much of the country. Overall, the Company completed approximately 85% of its scheduled flights in January, compared to 96% in January 2013.
