The Residence at Gwel an Mor Joins The Registry Collection® Programme

Published on : Saturday, March 29, 2014

The-Registry-Collection-300x141 The Registry Collection, the world’s largest luxury exchange programme and part of the Wyndham Worldwide family of brands, today announced the affiliation of The Residence at Gwel an Mor to its portfolio of affiliated resort properties.

The Residence is a new development of eco-friendly lodges at the award-winning Gwel an Mor Luxury Resort, idyllically located on a cliff top overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Located in Cornwall, one of the U.K.’s most sought-after holiday destinations, the development’s contemporary two- and three-bedroom lodge ‘retreats’ are designed with luxurious styling and built using sustainable principles.

They offer spacious, open-plan accommodation, as well as the opportunity to enjoy al fresco living by taking breakfast on the large outdoor veranda or sipping champagne in the hot tub while watching the sun set over the ocean.

Gwel an Mor is Cornish for ‘view of the sea’ and, unsurprisingly given this name, The Residence is just a short stroll from the soft sands and turquoise sea of Portreath Beach.

The resort’s onsite wildlife centre, Feadon Farm, offers guests amazing wildlife activities, such as meeting creatures as diverse as reindeer and birds of prey, and even hand feeding its rescued foxes, making a stay here truly memorable.

And if lodge guests would rather dine out, they need go no further than the resort’s Terrace Restaurant which combines Atlantic Ocean views and a relaxing ambience with delicious dishes influenced by the heritage of its Spanish-born, French-trained head chef, Joe Lado Devesa.

The purchase options are both whole-ownerships and fractional. A bonus for buyers of both ownerships is the inclusion of membership to The Registry Collection, giving them the additional flexibility and opportunity to get even greater value from their purchase by swapping unused weeks in The Residence for stays in the more than 200 unique properties in the luxury exchange programme.

“It was an easy decision to work with The Registry Collection,” said Bill Haslam, developer and resort owner of Gwel an Mor Luxury Resort.

“We believe purchasers will want to get the most from their investment and The Registry Collection will give our owners access to some of the finest holiday resorts around the world, all of which offer standards of luxury comparable to our own.

We’re delighted to be able to offer this advantage to our owners.

“The Residence at Gwel an Mor is a testament to my desire to create a holiday destination for the U.K. market that rivals and even exceeds overseas alternatives, while also being sympathetic to the environment.

I believe that people are becoming more aware of making sustainable choices and it is a strong selling point for the lodges, and one which is likely to attract consumers who see value in a quality product.”

“We are very pleased to welcome The Residence at Gwel an Mor into The Registry Collection network,” said Matt Holmes, new business development manager, The Registry Collection in Europe.

“The lodges offer luxurious and attractive accommodation with a real ‘wow’ factor – and in one of the U.K.’s most popular holiday hot spots.

The unique design coupled with excellent on-site amenities ensures this resort will be a perfect fit and complement to The Registry Collection’s portfolio of distinctive high-quality properties.”
