download-123Aviation electronic solutions developer Rockwell Collins will install its ARINC vMUSE Enterprise common use check-in platform in Mexico’s Monterrey Airport.

As part of a five-year contract with Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte (OMA), the company will also install its ARINC SelfServ Enterprise software on hosted kiosks in the main check-in areas at Monterrey Airport.

Rockwell vMUSE Enterprise is claimed to be the only truly cloud-based common-use check-in platform in the industry.

The platform extends CUPPS support to off-site locations and wireless devices by moving software functions that were formerly on the airport user’s workstation into ‘virtual machines’.

vMUSE Enterprise is scalable for any size airline or airport and eliminates the need for airport-based passenger IT infrastructure.

OMA operations manager Mario Mosso said: “We chose vMUSE Enterprise as it gives us tremendous flexibility.”With vMUSE Enterprise, we can better utilise the gates at the airport, which improves operations for both the airport and the airlines.”
