During his time at the Georgetown hotel he has overseen the Rooms Division of more than 150 employees, and will now direct the Hotel staff of 480, including a Les Clefs d’Or concierge who contributes to the more than 125 collective years of concierge experience. Lippuner’s extensive knowledge makes his promotion a natural transition.

“I’m thrilled to be able to be in the nation’s capital and take a greater role in the overall management of the Hotel. I look forward to continuing to build and strengthen relationships with our guests and employees in my new role,” says Lippuner.
A native of South Africa and Switzerland, Lippuner joined Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in 2008 as Director of Housekeeping at the former Four Seasons Resort Aviara in Carlsbad, California. He then moved to Nevis, West Indies where he served as the Director of Residences before joining Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC in 2012.

Lippuner graduated from the University of Natal in South Africa before embarking on a hotel career in 1994 at Hotel Nikko in Atlanta, Georgia. His experience in Atlanta, Santa Monica, and Johannesburg brought him to Four Seasons with an impressive knowledge of the hospitality industry. Lippuner’s entrepreneurial and business background outside of hospitality also make him a great asset to the Hotel.

Lippuner resides in Alexandria, VA with his wife Jeni and two daughters, 5 year old Leylah Mae and 2 year old Dhanya. In his spare time he enjoys being with his family, running, cycling, and swimming, a sport he competed in through high school and university representing South Africa.
