Sochi-OlympicsThe opening ceremony of the Sochi Olympic Games started with pomp and galore as the world looked on to the costliest opening ceremony of any Olympic Game.

Spectators from all over the world watched the introduction of athletes that marked the official start of the Sochi Winter Olympics.
