Seychelles-Tourism-BoardThe 2013 Tourism Week in Seychelles was the opportunity for Alain St.Ange, the island’s Minister for Tourism and Culture to launch the Sesel Sa Magazine, a publication he said would become the voice of the Seychelles Tourism Industry.

This declaration was made during the annual Seychelles Ball that was held this year at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino in the presence of Minister Joel Morgan, Minister Idith Alexander, CEO of the Tourism Board Sheri Naiken, PS for Tourism Anne Lafortune, PS for Culture Benjamine Rose among many Senior Government Officers and Influential Tourism Trade Professionals committed to see the Seychelles Tourism Industry consolidated.

Minister St.Ange said, as he congratulated the Tourism Board and the Paradise Publications, those remain responsible for Sesel Sa Magazine, that a voice for the tourism industry was needed today more than ever before. “Through they magazine the small boat operator of Praslin who has been after getting his services known, or the small home grown guest house offering this authentic Creole Hospitality can be seen by the visitors to Seychelles as they arrive at Seychelles International Airport, but every Tour Operator and Travel Agent selling Seychelles will also be able to get access to the island styled magazine. We owed it to the local businesses and today we have delivered on our promise” Minister Alain St.Ange said.

Barely a month after after the launch of the Sesel Sa Magazine it was already seen at the Top Resa Tourism Trade Fair in Paris France and stocks of the publication is already on its way to the Seychelles Tourism Board Offices in Paris, London, Frankfurt, Rome, Cape Town, Pretoria, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Seoul.

Decision was also taken for the magazine to be available at all the Seychelles Embassies and High Commissions in the four corners of the world.

The new Sesel Sa Magazine will be publishing features on the natural beauty of the Seychelles, but will also be following the drive by the Seychelles in attracting Niche Markets and bringing out these attributes for all would be travellers to see.

Discussions are already underway with Air Seychelles to have the magazine on board the plane also. “Today it is available at the Airport, the main port of entry into Seychelles and the Tourism Board will ensure that every arriving visitor gets a copy of Sesel Sa. We have negotiated with Paradise Publications to have a section to bring out small adverts by the individual business operators in a Classified Section Pages. This is to enable every small operator who had been saying they cannot get access to visitors to promote their services. Anyone and everyone wanting to make use of this facility is invited to now do so” Minister St.Ange said.

Arts and Craft Dealers, Artists and Entertainers are also invited to make use of the Magazine that is the new Voice of the Seychelles Tourism Industry to be seen and to be discovered and to be known.

The Seychelles Brand of Tourism has developed the approach for more Seychellois to be involved in the industry that remains the Pillar of the island’s economy. The Sesel Sa (This is Seychelles) Magazine is now opening doors for every tourism business to help themselves grow as Seychelles claims back its industry for the benefit of everyone.
