SFO Golf Tournament Raises $60,000 for Local Charities

The San Francisco International Airport Charity Golf Tournament Committee will donate $60,000 to local charities on December 12, 2013. The funds were raised during a charity golf tournament held on October 7, 2013. This year’s primary recipients, Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly and Donaldina Cameron House will share the major portion of the proceeds that was raised during this year’s tournament. Two added charities, Palcare and the North Peninsula Food Pantry & Dining Center will share a smaller portion of the proceeds.
On Thursday, December 12, 2013, a check presentation ceremony will be held at 12:00 noon at the San Francisco International Airport Aviation Museum. The Museum is located in the International Terminal, departure level, near the “A” Concourse security checkpoint. Lunch and refreshments will be served following the presentation.
The San Francisco International Airport Charity Golf Tournament Committee is comprised of representatives of the San Francisco Airport community. Members of the tournament committee include representatives of the San Francisco International Airport, the San Francisco Police Department–Airport Bureau, the San Francisco Fire Department–Airport Division, United Airlines, Virgin America, Cathay Pacific, Signature Flight Support, AvAirPros, and ING Financial Partners. Honorary Chairpersons for the event were San Francisco Airport Director John L. Martin, San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr, and San Francisco Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White.
