The San Francisco SPCA and San Francisco International Airport (SFO) are hosting a press conference to announce the new Wag Brigade program. As part of the SF SPCA’s Animal Assisted Therapy Program (AAT), Wag Brigade volunteers will be regularly visiting SFO terminals with their certified therapy dogs. The goal is to provide stress relief and make travel more enjoyable for SFO passengers by inviting them to interact with the dogs.
The therapy dogs that will initiate this program have been carefully selected for their temperament and airport suitability. The dogs will wear personalized vests that read “Pet Me!” and identify them as Wag Brigade volunteers.
During the press conference, media will learn more about the Wag Brigade and have the opportunity to meet Wag Brigade volunteers and their therapy dogs.
