Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts Kicks Off 2016 China Sales Mission

CWH-BallroomShangri-La Hotels and Resorts kicks off its 2016 China Sales Mission in Beijing today. Sales forces from 75 Shangri-La hotels, Kerry hotels, Hotel Jens and Traders hotels around the world were present at the event, which was designed to update the corporate, leisure, MICE and travel trade on Shangri-La’s latest developments. The Shangri-La group will present a double-points special offer under the Events Collection reward programme for participating MICE organisers during the sales mission.

 
Shangri-La’s 2016 China Sales Mission, covering Beijing, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Nanjing and Shanghai, will last for two weeks and has an anticipated attendance of 1,000 travel buyers and trade partners. The event highlights the travel marts in each city.
During the special activities, all 75 participating hotels will present an exclusive offer to the attending MICE organisers. This offer features double Golden Circle Award Points to the first qualifying event booked between 15 August and 15 September 2016 (both dates inclusive). The event must take place from 15 August 2016 and complete on or before 31 December 2016 at any participating hotel of the sales mission.

 
Forty-five hotels in mainland China and 30 overseas hotels will be present at the sales mission. Apart from promoting the group’s newest landmarks – Shangri-La’s Hambantota Resort & Spa, Sri Lanka and Midtown Shangri-La, Hangzhou – this year, the sales mission will also introduce two anticipated new projects, Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong and a new Beijing property, which will be unveiled in the second half of this year.

 
In addition to showcasing each hotel, the Shangri-La China Sales Mission will introduce myriad offers designed for business and leisure clients from the individual properties and the group. Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts’ new programmes, such as Suite Indulgence and Events Collection, offer better value to meet the customers’ different needs.

 
Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts currently owns and/or manages 98 hotels under the Shangri-La brand with a room inventory of over 40,000. Shangri-La hotels are five-star deluxe properties featuring extensive luxury facilities and services. Shangri-La hotels are located in Australia, Canada, mainland China, Fiji, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Mauritius, Myanmar, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, Sultanate of Oman, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. The group has a substantial development pipeline with upcoming projects in Mainland China, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Myanmar, Philippines, Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka.
