Six Senses Yao Noi – Thailand, is delighted to welcome Michelin Star and Danish Chef Thomas Rode Andersen as a guest chef at the resort in end of March this year, when guests will have the opportunity to experience his exceptional cuisine.
During his visit to Six Senses Yao Noi, Chef Andersen is planning just two signature dinners, on 28th and 30th March plus a sunset cocktail party hosted by the resort, at which all guests will have the opportunity to meet him. Details of the events are included at the end of this release.
Chef Thomas is one of Denmark’s leading chefs and Head Chef & Managing Director of Restaurant Kong Hans Kælder, set in one of the Copenhagen’s oldest medieval buildings. The establishment has been awarded a Michelin Star.
As a multi-award winning chef, Thomas has published several books about gastronomy, has a column in Berlingske Tidende – the Danish national newspaper – and has hosted more than 200 cooking programmes on Danish television over the last two years.
From the beginning of his career Chef Thomas has sought to dissolve the pretensions surrounding gourmet dining, creating instead a relaxed ambience for his guests to enjoy his fresh and mouthwatering menus. He supports the Six Senses food guiding principal of a healthy food using only the freshest of local ingredients, sustainably sourced.
Inspired by his passion for healthy lifestyle and fitness chef Thomas has recently created a Paleo Fast Food concept in Copenhagen – incorporating a nutritional diet plan based on the ‘hunter gatherer’ premise that human health and well-being is one that resembles our basic ancestral diet, that of fish, meats, vegetables, fruit, roots, and nuts. It excludes anything processed.
Chef Thomas will work closely with Six Senses executive chef Anthony Reynolds and his team. They will use locally sourced Thai ingredients, herbs and vegetables from the resort’s organic gardens and freshest locally caught seafood.
General Manager of Six Senses Yao Noi Manish Puri says “we are thrilled and excited to have chef Thomas with us, as his principals hold a lot of synergies with our own food concepts. We are looking forward having two exciting gourmet events for our guests to experience.”
