South Africa Road Show to drum up more interest for Seychelles as a destination

SeychellesSouth Africa is getting more insight into what Seychelles has to offer as a trav destinationel, now that a delegation from the Seychelles Tourism Board has been attending a road show in the country.
Senior Marketing Executive at the Seychelles Tourism Board, Amia Jovanovic-Desir, explained that the Indian Ocean Islands’ participation in the fair “reaffirms the strong commitment to further develop and position Seychelles in South Africa and the region”.
Mrs Jovanovic-Desir has joined the Seychelles Tourism Office team based in South Africa from the 30 September to 3 October to further sell Seychelles to the African market.
However the Seychelles Tourism Board also partnered with many in the local trade for the event.
“We firmly believe our presence together with some trade partners who have responded to our invitation will generate return on investment, and the benefits to be derived from these markets in the long-run,” said Mrs Jovanovic-Desir.
Apart from the Seychelles Tourism Board Members, Beachcomber Sainte Anne Resort, Sunset Beach Hotel, Constance Hotels (Ephelia Resort of Mahe and Lemuria Resort and Casino of Praslin), Air Seychelles, L’ Archipel Hotel of Praslin, Berjaya Beau-Vallon Bay Resort & Casino-Seychelles, Raffles Hotel, Coral Strand Hotel, Kempinski Hotel, Desroches Island Resort, Mason’s Travel, Fregate island Private, Creole Travel Services and the Moorings, have all attended the road-show.
During the partners’ stay in South Africa, they were able to showcase their products in three cities.
70 agents were on hand in Johannesburg, 68 in Durban and Cape-Town had the biggest turnout with 85 agents ready to learn more about Seychelles.
