Seychelles-Tourism-BoardFrancois Hougaard, the rugby star from South Africa’s SPRINGBOK is in Seychelles as part of a delegation accompanying Marsha Parcou, the Seychelles Tourism Board’s Pretoria based Manager for South Africa and greater Africa.

After his arrival in Seychelles Francois Hougaard and his delegation were guests at the Ephelia Resort & Spa before flying to Praslin Island on Friday afternoon.

Francois Hougaard is being accompanied by Gert van der Merwe, Willemiena Lensing and Kirschlee Nada Naidoo on this Seychelles trip. He is in the islands because he has agreed to work with Marsha Parcou in South Africa to raise the visibility of the Seychelles as the holiday destination for South Africans using sports coverage and his celebrity status.

Last weekend Francois Hougaard was at the Constance Lemuria Resort on the island of Praslin where he participated in a golf tournament alongside the best in the Seychelles. The designer Lemuria Resort 18 hole Golf Course overlooking the picturesque Anse Georgette being lapped by the clear and clean turquoise blue seas remains a sought after course for golfers wanting to play golf in paradise.

Last Friday evening, Francois Hougaard and his delegation were hosted to a special dinner by Lemuria Resort Management in a setting fit only for Kings. The dinner table was laid out under the equatorial tropical stars on the headland overlooking the waves crashing on the unique granite boulders of the Seychelles. Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture and Marsha Parcou, the Seychelles Tourism Board’s Pretoria based Manager for South Africa and greater Africa joined the Lemuria Resort Management at the special dinner to welcome Francois Hougaard to Seychelles.

Minister St.Ange presented Francois Hougaard with a copy of the Raymond Du Buisson “The Lighter side of the Seychelles” book of paintings and in return received a signed ‘Gobble Head’ of Francois Hougaard himself as they stood for a souvenir picture.

“Francois Hougaard said quite openly that he was overtaken by the beauty of the Seychelles. He said that he would be back in Seychelles because these islands are just blessed to have everything that makes a dream holiday come true” Minister Alain St.Ange said after discussions during dinner with Francois Hougaard.
