Southwest Airlines Gifts The Citizens of San Diego Four New Daily Nonstop Travel Destinations

Southwest-Airlines-logo-300x225Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) revealed four new daily nonstop travel destinations to citizens of San Diego today during the opening of the airline’s mystery gift that landed at Balboa Park last week. Todd Gloria, Interim Mayor of the City of San Diego, helped Southwest Airlines and local Rapid Rewards Customers introduce New Orleans, Orlando, Seattle, and Portland, Ore. to the market. As each side of the #SWAMysteryGift was pulled away, a different cityscape appeared, ultimately announcing all four new nonstop destinations for San Diego Customers.
Southwest Airlines is proud to offer San Diego Customers daily nonstop service to New Orleans International Airport beginning April 8, 2014; and daily nonstop service to Orlando International Airport, Portland International Airport, and Seattle Tacoma International Airport beginning June 8, 2014.
“We are pleased to offer these new service options for our San Diego Customers,” said Andrew Watterson, Southwest Airlines Vice President Network Planning and Performance. “San Diego is an extremely important market to Southwest Airlines, and we believe the addition of these new nonstop destinations demonstrates our commitment to the San Diego community.”

To Celebrate the New Nonstop Service from San Diego, Fares are as Low as:
$89 one-way nonstop between San Diego and Seattle Tacoma
$89 one-way nonstop between San Diego and Portland, Ore.
$149 one-way nonstop between San Diego and New Orleans
$149 one-way nonstop between San Diego and Orlando
These low fares are available for purchase on southwest.com today through Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, 11:59 p.m. in the respective time zone of the originating city. Travel for New Orleans is valid April 8 through May 31, 2014; travel for Orlando, Portland, Ore., and Seattle is valid June 8 through June 30, 2014. Restrictions and exclusions apply. Southwest Airlines is giving the citizens of San Diego the chance to win a pair of roundtrip tickets to the new destination of their choice. The airline launched a social contest which will run today only in coordination with the reveal of the four new destinations. San Diegans are required to venture over to the Southwest Gift at the Plaza De Panama at Balboa Park, take a photo in front of the new destination they are most excited to visit, and submit the photo along with a caption telling why, to Southwest Airlines via their Instagram handle @SouthwestAir by midnight pacific time on Monday, Dec. 16.
