The Sunshine Coast will host one of Australia’s largest and most vibrant country music celebrations when the Gympie Music Muster takes place from 28 – 31 August.
There will be some 400 performances and 150 artists over four days, with some of the best names in Australian country music, such as John Williamson, Lee Kernaghan, the McClymont Sisters, Sara Storer and Josh Pyke performing.
A celebration of everything “country”, the Gympie Muster is staged on a purpose built site in one of Queensland’s most beautiful National State Parks, the Amamoor Creek State Forest, and 40km north of Noosa.
The Gympie Music Muster works to celebrate the true spirit of Country Australia and the
strength and resilience of regional communities, and is a not-for-profit event.
Over the past 31 years the Gympie Music Muster has raised almost $14.75m for community organisations, and charities, bringing benefit to hundreds of local and regional communities.
Sunshine Coast Destination has teamed with Gympie Music Muster to offer special ‘Stay & Play’ accommodation packages. Visitors booking the accommodation packages receive a unique code to book discounted Muster tickets.
Cooroy Country Cottages offers atmospheric accommodation, just 20 minutes drive from the Muster Head Quarters. Rates start from $150 per room per night (min 2 night stay) for a one bedroom cottage for two people. Two and three bedroom cottages, capable of sleeping up to seven, are also available.
Set in 97 private acres of native forests and wildlife with changing mountain and valley views, the modern 1, 2 & 3 bedroom cottages are fully self-contained with queen beds, complete kitchens, reverse cycle air\heat, DVD, private laundry, BBQ, patio, carport and verandas. Pets are welcome.
