“Our government is committed to ensuring the sound, transparent and accountable governance of Crown corporations. We expect all federal institutions to be accountable and to have policies in place that make good use of taxpayers’ money. We are concerned about any allegations of wrongdoing. This is why we support all efforts to get to the facts of the matter.
“Following allegations of irregular contract awarding by Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) in the early 2000s, broadcasted on the Radio-Canada program Enquête on February 13, 2014, I have asked the Deputy Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities to carry out a full investigation of what transpired at JCCBI.”
