The FAB Awards, a partnership between The Moodie Davitt Report and sister title The Foodie Report, are the world’s only airport-specific food and beverage awards, reflecting the best in travel-related food and beverage operations worldwide.

SumoSalad Green Label, a partnership between Lagardère Travel Retail and SumoSalad, is situated within Sydney Airport’s T2 casual dining precinct, offering passengers, visitors and staff a range of tasty and healthy food options using seasonal produce by local Australian suppliers.

The first to Australia airport offering at Sydney Airport features a unique range of made-to-order salads, breakfast bowls, charcoal meats and wraps, as well as cold pressed juices and coffee by Pablo & Rusty.

“We congratulate Lagardère Travel Retail and SumoSalad on winning this award and we are delighted to see it recognised on the global stage for its innovative dining concept at Sydney Airport,” Sydney Airport General Manager Retail Glyn Williams said.

“As Australia’s gateway, Sydney Airport has invested substantially in improving the airport food and beverage offering, creating new food experiences including Australian and airport firsts, and further enhancing value and choice.”

Sydney Airport was also shortlisted in the Airport Food Court of the Year category for its T1 International terminal casual dining precinct, while Lorna Jane in the airport’s T2 Domestic terminal was shortlisted in the Food & Beverage-Related Innovation of the Year category for its unique Lorna Jane Active Living Room concept.
