Supranational Hotels, one of the world’s leading providers of hotel distribution technology, announces a landmark year ahead at WTM and The Travel Tech Show 2013 as they approach 40 years of business.
With international growth high on its agenda, Supranational plans to expand its portfolio into emerging markets including oil and energy-rich territories such as Russia and Eastern Europe where corporate travel is buoyant. Furthermore, new hotel agreements shortly to be announced for North Africa will expand Supranational’s reach of currently more 800 hotels worldwide – including 200 independent hotels and in excess of 40 hotel groups – to even more global destinations where business and leisure travel is strengthening in demand.
As one of the first companies to pioneer seamless connectivity with the GDS, Supranational Hotels remain true to their roots with new technologies at the forefront of their 2014 strategic developments. As visa applications for Chinese visitors to the UK are becoming easier, Supranational is piloting a project to translate hotel data on the Pegasus Hotel Content Database into Chinese as well as being test partner to distribute hotels to the 5th recognised GDS provider, the TravelSky network in China. In order to capitalise on this growing market, the translation of data for two hotels has already been completed for the test phase, after which Supranational plans to roll this service out to all member hotels.
Cho Wong, Managing Director of Supranational comments, “We are delighted to be back at World Travel Market 2013 to showcase plans and developments for our 40th year as the world’s most trusted provider of hotel distribution technology. Our expansion into smaller and emerging markets and our ground-breaking technology projects will further strengthen our position as market leader and provide greater value to our members in the lead up to our 40 years in business and beyond.”
